April – Record Store Day / Box Social w/ Kevin Junior / IPO Single Release Party

Oh, What A Delightful Month To Be Alive!

Hollus will be playing a show next Thursday, April 15th at The Box Social.  The show will feature Hollus playing songs new and old, stripped down and raw.  It’ll be a good chance to chill and listen to some great bands, including Kevin Junior of one of our favorite locals, The Chamber Strings.  Don’t miss this show.  It’s 18+ and starts at 8PM.  Box Social 2931 N. Milwaukee (on the corner of Congress Theater)

Then, next Saturday, April 17 for Record Store Day we’ll be at The Old School Records, our favorite indie shop around, playing songs all day, hanging out, probably drinking, and selling advanced copies of the “Lucy Grey/Songs That You Love” Single.  COME SUPPORT LOCAL RECORD SHOPS! 11am-?  The Old School Records 7446 W. Madison, Forest Park IL

We have the qualifying battle for Hard Rock Ambassadors of Rock on April 22nd at 11pm  at Hard Rock Cafe.  This will be us battling a couple songs in front of a panel of judges.  The first in a couple steps of eventually flying to Hyde Park in London to play w/ the likes of Macca, Bruce, and Stevie Wonder! Give some support we’d love to see you there!  Hard Rock Cafe, All Ages Free show, 8pm-1am, we play a couple songs at 12am.

Finally, on Sunday April 25th at 4PM, Hollus will be having it’s official Single Release Party for “Lucy Grey/Songs That You Love” at The Abbey Pub for International Pop Overthrow Festival.  David Bash has graciously given us the longest set of the evening and it’ll be a great chance to hang out with us in the daytime, drink some libations, and eat some food.  It’s like a football game for audiophiles.  The festivities start at 1:30, and we’re also excited to be playing with V Sparks and Otter Petter, amongst others.  $10 admission gets you a FREE SINGLE (4 different colors to choose!) ALL AGES Abbey Pub 3420 W. Grace

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone out at these shows and we’re working diligently on the album!  We’ll also be releasing some specials from our Lincoln Hall show right here on April 17th, so check back!
